The agricultural community is being encouraged to get involved and feed into the policy discussions regarding the upcoming ELM schemes before the end of this month. The deadline for the consultation is 11:45pm on 31 July 2020.
The policy document opened for discussion in June, and sets out the government's initial thoughts on the ELM scheme design, with an overview of the high-level design options, upon which the government are keen to seek farmers and landowners' views in order to shape the approach taken.
The government intends to continue engaging with the wider agricultural community, capturing their views leading up to the roll-out of ELM which begins in 2024.
